For over 10 years the Widow Kip's Country Inn has gladly accepted guests pets. As may of our guests will tell you their pets are "Part of the Family". Having been pet owners ourselves, we know how difficult it is to leave them behind imposing on friends or relatives to watch them.  In addition it is quite costly to board your pet these days, and inconvenient to drop them off and pick them up upon your return.

Ask any guest who has stayed here with a pet, we're the "Best kept secret in the Valley". Only 90 minutes from Washington, the Inn is set on 3.5 acres of beautifully landscaped grounds, and our 5-acre fenced field lets your pet exercise to their hearts content.

Our Equestrian friends enjoy the 5-acre fenced field for its ability to pasture their horse instead of being cooped up in a trailer overnight. In addition they feel safer knowing their horse is safe.

There are parks, hiking trails, streams, lakes, and canoeing to do with your pets. The George Washington National Forest and Skyline Drive are all within a short drive of the Inn. Or you can just kick back and relax at Inn.

Our 4 cottage suites are located in the courtyard adjacent to the main Inn.  They all have private baths, sitting area, and cable TV.  The silk Purse Suite is an efficiency cottage with room for a family of 4 and family pet.
